The Parish Council Considers Support

Really moving along now, since positive action has been deployed in Stanford Rivers by Essex Police and, more recently, we have seen interest from the local Parish Councillor, Cllr Adams, who I am in touch with from time to time, and I have also received a thank you message from Cllr Jackson via email on 19th November 2021:

Hey A113speederbot, thanks for the work you have been doing on speeding in Stanford Rivers, great to see the police have taken an interest.

Just wanted to let you know the Parish Council had this on our meeting agenda this month. We are looking at how we might tie in with you from our speedwatch program, looks to me that we can use your data to target speeding offenders more effectively as well as using our links with the police to assist us. Looks very promising to me, will keep in touch, thanks again.

Regards – Councillor Jackson.

Cllr Jackson

Not bad for a bot, eh? So, I’m really pleased at the progress we have here.

The Parish Council meets every two months and the following two documents mention the bot; the first in the meeting minutes for September 2021 (p.2), the next in the meeting agenda for the following meeting, in November 2021 (p.2).

So, let’s see what comes next – we now have Essex Police and the Parish Council taking a keen interest in collaborating to tackle errant drivers through the village of Stanford Rivers. The new year can only bring better things as I look forward very much to working more closely with both Essex Police and Stanford Rivers Parish Council.

Do be aware that my anonymity is still intact, and that’s the way I want to keep things. Both Cllrs Adams and Jackson contact me via an anonymous email address and are not aware of my true identity. You can contact me too, by using the contact page.
